The numbers below refer to the step numbers in the diagnostic procedures.

  1. 1Β  - The Diagnostic System Check - Engine Controls prompts the technician to complete some basic checks and store freeze frame data on the scan tool, if applicable. This creates an electronic copy of data taken when the fault occurred. The information is then stored in scan tool for later reference.
  2. 2Β  - This step determines if DTC P0120 is the result of a hard failure or an intermittent condition.
  3. 7Β  - When the 5-volt reference is jumpered to TP input circuit, scan tool parameter should read 99 percent.
  4. 8Β  - When TP sensor input circuit is jumpered to battery voltage, scan tool parameter should read 99 percent.
