Preliminary Procedures

  1. Disable roof rail SIR system. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling .
  2. Remove body side lock pillar garnish molding. Refer to Body Lock Pillar Garnish Molding Replacement (Standard Wheelbase) , Body Lock Pillar Garnish Molding Replacement (Avalanche/Escalade EXT) , Body Lock Pillar Garnish Molding Replacement (Extended Wheelbase) .
  3. Remove rear upper garnish molding. Refer to Rear Upper Garnish Molding Replacement (Avalanche/Escalade EXT) .

  1. Disconnect the antenna from the remote control door lock receiver.
  2. Note the routing of the antenna.
