NOTE: Use a NEW EGR valve gasket when installing the EGR valve.

  1. Position a NEW EGR valve to valve cooler gasket to the valve cooler.
  2. Position the EGR valve (3) to the valve cooler.
  3. CAUTION: Refer to Fastener Caution .
  4. Install the EGR valve bolts (2).

    Tighten:Β  Tighten the bolts to 25 N.m (18 lb ft).

  5. Install NEW EGR valve gaskets (1) onto the EGR valve, if required.
  6. Install the EGR valve cooler. Refer to Exhaust Gas Recirculation Valve Cooler ReplacementΒ .
