2006 Chevrolet Chevy Express G2500, Van Cargo, 6.6 2SECTION Installation Procedure

  1. Install the generator into the generator bracket.
  2. Position the heater outlet, and AC compressor/condenser hoses as necessary.
  3. CAUTION: Refer to Fastener Caution .
  4. Install the generator bolts.

    Tighten:Β  Tighten the bolts to 50 N.m (37 lb ft).

  6. Install the engine wiring harness lead (4) to the generator stud.
  7. Install the engine wiring harness nut (3) to the generator.

    Tighten:Β  Tighten the nut to 9 N.m (80 lb in).

  8. Position the engine wiring harness boot (6) over the generator stud.
  9. Connect the engine wiring harness electrical connector (5) to the generator.

  11. Install the heater outlet hose clamp bolt (1) at the generator bracket.

    Tighten:Β  Tighten the bolt to 25 N.m (18 lb ft).

  13. Install the A/C compressor and condenser hose bracket bolt (2).

    Tighten:Β  Tighten the bolt to 25 N.m (18 lb ft).

  15. Instal the engine wiring harness clip (1) to the A/C compressor/condenser hose bracket.
  16. Install the drive belt. Refer to Drive Belt Replacement .
  17. Install the air cleaner outlet resonator. Refer to Air Cleaner Outlet Resonator Replacement .
  18. Connect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (Single Battery)Β  or Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (Dual Batteries)Β  or Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (Auxiliary Battery)Β .
