Removal Procedure

2006 Chevrolet Chevy Express G2500, Van Cargo, 6.6 2SECTION Removal Procedure

  1. Disconnect the battery negative cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and ConnectionΒ .
  2. Remove the drive belt. Refer to Drive Belt Replacement .
  3. Fig 1: Generator Terminal Protective Boot

  4. Reposition the generator terminal protective boot (1).
  5. Remove the generator terminal nut (4).
  6. Remove the engine harness terminal (3) from the generator.
  7. Disconnect the generator electrical connector (2).

  9. Remove the generator pivot bolt (1).
  10. Remove the generator bolt (2).
  11. Remove the generator stud (3).
  12. Remove the generator (4) from the vehicle.
