  1. Remove the steering linkage outer tie rod. Refer to Steering Linkage Outer Tie Rod ReplacementΒ .

  3. Remove the steering linkage inner tie rod nut (2) from the steering linkage inner tie rod (1).

  5. Remove the steering gear boot clamp (2) from the steering gear boot (1).

  7. Remove the steering gear boot clamp (1) from the steering gear boot (2) with side cutters.
  8. Discard the steering gear boot clamp (1).
  9. Remove the steering gear boot from the steering gear.
