2006 Chevrolet Chevy Express G2500, Van Cargo, 6.6 2SECTION Installation Procedure

  1. Install the power steering fluid cooler (1) to the vehicle.
  2. NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice .
  3. Install the power steering fluid cooler bolts (2).

    Tighten:Β  Tighten the bolts to 9 N.m (80 lb in).

  5. Connect the power steering fluid cooler hose (4) to the power steering pump (1).
  6. Connect the power steering fluid cooler hose (3) to the steering gear (2).
  7. Clean any excess fluid from the vehicle and remove the drain pans.
  8. Install the radiator grille reinforcement support, if equipped. Refer to Radiator Grille Reinforcement Support Replacement .
  9. Install the fascia grille. Refer to Fascia Grille Replacement (Z71) or Fascia Grille Replacement (Suburban, Tahoe) or Fascia Grille Replacement (Escalade) or Fascia Grille Replacement (Yukon) or Fascia Grille Replacement (GMC Yukon Two-mode Hybrid) .
  10. Fill and bleed the power steering system. Refer to Power Steering System BleedingΒ .
