Preliminary Procedures

  1. Disable roof rail SIR system. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling .
  2. Remove body side lock pillar garnish molding. Refer to Body Lock Pillar Garnish Molding Replacement (Avalanche/Escalade EXT) or Body Lock Pillar Garnish Molding Replacement (Extended Wheelbase) or Body Lock Pillar Garnish Molding Replacement (Standard Wheelbase) .
  3. Remove rear upper garnish molding. Refer to Rear Upper Garnish Molding Replacement (Avalanche/Escalade EXT) .
1 Remote Control Start Antenna Assembly
Tip:Β  Disconnect the electrical connector.
2 Remote Control Door Lock Receiver
Tip:Β 
  • The module slides and snaps into the body structure.
  • Disconnect the electrical connector.
  • If a replacement module is installed, program the module. Refer to Control Module References .
