Installation Procedure

- Install the battery into the vehicle.
- Install the battery retainer and bolt.
Tighten: Tighten the bolt to 18 N.m (13 lb ft).
- Install the battery heat shield. Refer to Battery Heat Shield Replacement .
- Connect the battery positive cable (1) to the battery.
Tighten: Tighten the bolt to 17 N.m (13 lb ft).
- Connect the battery negative cable (2). Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (Side Post) .
