2006 Chevrolet Chevy Express G2500, Van Cargo, 6.6 2SECTION Installation Procedure

  1. Route and install the intermediate park brake cable into park brake cable retaining bracket.
  2. Seat the intermediate park cable into the park brake cable retaining bracket.
  3. Connect the right rear parking brake cable connector (1) to the intermediate park brake cable (2).
  4. Connect the intermediate park brake cable to the equalizer (3).

  6. Install the park cable guides (2).
  7. NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice .
  8. Install the park brake cable guide bolt (1) to the floor panel.

    Tighten:Β  Tighten the bolt to 9 N.m (80 lb in).

  9. Install the park brake cable guide nut (3) to the mounting stud.

    Tighten:Β  Tighten the nut to 9 N.m (80 lb in).

  11. Connect intermediate park brake cable housing (1) to the floor panel bracket (3).
  12. Seat the intermediate park brake cable housing retainer to the floor panel.

  14. Insert the intermediate park brake cable into the cable retaining bracket and lock the intermediate park brake cable into place.
  15. Connect the intermediate park brake cable connector (1) to the front park brake cable.
  16. Lower the vehicle.
  17. Cycle the park brake pedal 1 to 2 times.
