Installation Procedure

- Route and install the intermediate park brake cable into park brake cable retaining bracket.
- Seat the intermediate park cable into the park brake cable retaining bracket.
- Connect the right rear parking brake cable connector (1) to the intermediate park brake cable (2).
- Connect the intermediate park brake cable to the equalizer (3).
- Install the park cable guides (2).
- Install the park brake cable guide bolt (1) to the floor panel.
Tighten:Β Tighten the bolt to 9 N.m (80 lb in).
- Install the park brake cable guide nut (3) to the mounting stud.
Tighten:Β Tighten the nut to 9 N.m (80 lb in).
- Connect intermediate park brake cable housing (1) to the floor panel bracket (3).
- Seat the intermediate park brake cable housing retainer to the floor panel.
- Insert the intermediate park brake cable into the cable retaining bracket and lock the intermediate park brake cable into place.
- Connect the intermediate park brake cable connector (1) to the front park brake cable.
- Lower the vehicle.
- Cycle the park brake pedal 1 to 2 times.
