Removal Procedure

2006 Chevrolet Chevy Express G2500, Van Cargo, 6.6 2SECTION Removal Procedure
    CAUTION: Refer to SIR Caution in Cautions and Notices.
  1. Disable the SIR system. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling Zone 3 in SIR.
  2. Remove the shift lever assembly. Refer to Shift Lever ReplacementΒ .
  3. Remove the ignition lock cylinder. Refer to Ignition Lock Cylinder ReplacementΒ .
  4. Remove the ignition lock cylinder case. Refer to Ignition Lock Cylinder Case ReplacementΒ .
  5. Remove the tilt spring assembly only. Refer to Tilt Spring ReplacementΒ .
  6. Inspect the steering column for accident damage. Refer to Steering Column Accident Damage InspectionΒ .

  8. Remove the 2 pan head tapping screws from the turn signal and multifunction switch assembly.
  9. Remove the turn signal and multifunction switch assembly.
