Remote Control Door Lock Receiver Replacement

Fastener Tightening Specifications:  Refer to Fastener Tightening Specifications .

Preliminary Procedures

  1. Disable roof rail SIR system. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling .
  2. Remove rear opening garnish molding. Refer to Garnish Molding Replacement - Rear Door Upper .
  3. Remove back rear corner upper garnish molding. Refer to Garnish Molding Replacement - Rear Corner (Tahoe/Suburban)
  4. Remove rear side door sill plate. Refer to Rear Side Door Sill Plate Replacement (Extended Wheelbase) or Rear Side Door Sill Plate Replacement (Standard Wheelbase) .
  5. Remove body side lock pillar garnish molding. Refer to Body Lock Pillar Garnish Molding Replacement (Avalanche/Escalade EXT) or Body Lock Pillar Garnish Molding Replacement (Suburban/Yukon XL/Escalade ESV) or Body Lock Pillar Garnish Molding Replacement (Tahoe/Yukon/Escalade) .
  6. Remove the left rear quarter trim panel. Refer to Trim Panel Replacement - Rear Quarter - Left (Extended Wheelbase w/E61) or Trim Panel Replacement - Rear Quarter - Left (Extended Wheelbase w/o E61) or Trim Panel Replacement - Rear Quarter - Left (Standard Wheelbase w/E61) or Trim Panel Replacement - Rear Quarter - Left (Standard Wheelbase w/o E61) .
1 Remote Control Start Antenna Assembly
Tip:  Disconnect the electrical connector.
2 Remote Control Door Lock Receiver
Tip: 
  • The module slides and snaps into the body structure.
  • Disconnect the electrical connector.
  • If a replacement module is installed, program the module. Refer to Control Module References .
