Removal Procedure

- Set the wipers in the Park position.
- Disconnect the washer hose elbow from the air inlet grille panel.
- Remove the cover from the nut on the wiper arm.
- Remove the nut from the wiper arm.
- Rock the wiper arm back and forth to loosen arm from the drive shaft.
- Remove the wiper arm from the drive shaft.
- Remove the wiper blade from the wiper arm. Refer to Wiper Arm Blade Replacement .
IMPORTANT:
If rocking the wiper arm fails to loosen the arm from the drive shaft, use a J 39822
or a battery terminal puller to remove the wiper arm. See Special Tools .
