Removal Procedure
2006 Chevrolet Chevy Express G2500, Van Cargo Extended, 5.3 T, 4L60E/M30SECTION Removal Procedure
- Remove the front seat from the vehicle. Refer to Seat ReplacementΒ .
- Remove the seat cushion cover and pad. Refer to Seat Cushion Cover and Pad Replacement - FrontΒ .
- Remove the bolts (7) retaining the seat back hinge/recliner mechanisms (6) to the seat cushion frame. Refer to Seat Back Hinge/Recliner Mechanism Replace - FrontΒ .
- Remove the bolts (4) retaining the seat cushion frame to the adjuster.
- Remove the power seat switch bracket (2), if equipped.
- If replacing the front passenger seat cushion pad, you must also replace the inflatable restraint passenger presence system. Refer to Inflatable Restraint Passenger Presence System Replacement - Front .
CAUTION:
Replace the passenger presence system as a complete assembly to prevent possible injury to the occupant. All the components in the service kit are assembled and calibrated as a unit. Using only some of the components in the service kit will cause the passenger presence system to operate improperly.
