2003 Chevrolet Venture Base, Van Cargo ExtendedSECTION Installation Procedure

Important:  When installing manual seat adjusters to the seat bottom frame, the right and the left seat adjuster sliding mechanisms should be parallel and in phase with each other.

After installing manual seat adjusters to the seat frame, inspect the operation of the adjusters.

Ensure that the adjusters are parallel and in phase with each other when installing the power seat adjusters.

  1. Install the seat adjusters to the seat frame.
    NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE in Cautions and Notices.
  2. Install the seat adjuster bolts.

    Tighten 

    Tighten the bolts to 32 N.m (24 lb ft).

  3. Install the seat belt buckle with pretensioner. Refer to SEAT BELT PRETENSIONER in Airbag.
  4. Install the finish covers (1). Refer to SEAT ADJUSTER TRACK COVER REPLACEMENT - FRONT   . 
  5. Install the front seat (4). Refer to SEAT REPLACEMENT - BUCKET   . 
  6. Route the seat belt warning lamp wire to the rear of the lift linkage and secure it with a cable strap.

When to See a Mechanic
