Removal Procedure

2003 Chevrolet Venture Base, Van Cargo ExtendedSECTION Removal Procedure
CAUTION: When working with any type of glass or sheet metal with exposed or rough edges, wear approved safety glasses and gloves in order to reduce the chance of personal injury.
  1. Carefully push the outside rearview mirror face on the inner edge, near the front door window glass, to allow finger access.
  2. Grasp the mirror face firmly and pull it from the mirror body.

  3. Disconnect the heated mirror face electrical connector if equipped.
  4. Disconnect the rearview mirror turn signal indicator electrical connector if equipped.

  5. Remove the 2 jackscrews from back of the mirror case
    • Bend the 2 jackscrews over.
    • Press down on the side of the jackscrew popping the screw from the mirror glass case.
    • Save the jackscrews for reinstallation to the mirror motor.
