Steering Wheel Theft Deterrent Lock Replacement

Removal Procedure

Caution: Refer to SIR Caution in Service Precautions.

1. Disable the SIR system.
2. Remove the upper and lower trim covers.





3. Remove the connector (2) from the lock (1).





4. Pry the electric park lock (2) off of the ignition lock cylinder case assembly (1).

Installation Procedure





1. Snap the electric park lock (2) onto the ignition lock cylinder case assembly (1).

Caution: Refer to SIR Inflator Module Coil Caution in Service Precaution.





2. Reconnect the connector (2) to the electric park lock (1).
3. Install the upper and lower trim covers.
4. Enable the SIR system.
