- Install the bumper impact bar to the vehicle as follows:
- Position the bumper impact bar on the bumper brackets so that the holes in the impact bar are aligned with the bracket holes.
- Install 2 bolt plates and 4 nuts on top of the impact bar.
- Install 2 bolt and nuts through the bottom of the impact bar.
Tighten
Tighten the rear bumper impact bar nuts to 90 N.m (66 lb ft).
- Install the license plate to the bumper.
- Install the license plate lamps. Refer to LICENSE LAMP REPLACEMENT (W/ STEP BUMPER) or LICENSE LAMP REPLACEMENT (W/O STEP BUMPER) or LICENSE LAMP REPLACEMENT (FILLER PANEL) in Lighting Systems.
- Install the step pad to the bumper. Refer to STEP PAD REPLACEMENT - REAR BUMPER (PICKUP) or STEP PAD REPLACEMENT - REAR BUMPER (UTILITY) .
