2003 Chevrolet TrailBlazer 4.2 S, 4WDSECTION Installation Procedure

  1. Install the thermostat and the O-ring seal to the engine.
  2. Install the water outlet housing to the engine.
    NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE in Cautions and Notices.
  3. Install the water outlet housing mounting blots.

    TightenΒ 

    Tighten the water outlet housing mounting bolts to 10 N.m (89 lb in).

  4. Install the upper radiator inlet hose to the water outlet housing.
  5. Install the radiator hose clamp to the water outlet housing.
  6. Inspect coolant for leaks.
