- Position the liftgate hinges to the marked location points on the liftgate, with an assistant.
- Install the bolts to the liftgate hinges, with an assistant.
Tighten the liftgate hinge bolts to 33 N.m (28 lb ft).
- Install the liftgate struts. Refer to STRUT REPLACEMENT - LIFT GATEΒ .
- Install the liftgate latch strikers. Refer to LATCH STRIKER REPLACEMENT - LIFT GATE (AZTEK)Β or LATCH STRIKER REPLACEMENT - LIFT GATE (RENDEZVOUS)Β .
- Install the liftgate bumper mounting brackets.
- Install the liftgate window. Refer to WINDOW REPLACEMENT -- LIFT GATE (BUICK) or WINDOW REPLACEMENT -- LIFT GATE (PONTIAC) .
- Install the upper and lower liftgate trim panels. Refer to TRIM PANEL REPLACEMENT - LIFT GATE (AZTEK)Β or TRIM PANEL REPLACEMENT - LIFT GATE (RENDEZVOUS)Β .
- Adjust the liftgate as required. Refer to HINGE REPLACEMENT - END GATEΒ
