- Raise and support the vehicle.
- If the vehicle is equipped with all wheel drive, remove the right side engine splash shield in order to access the heat shield. Refer to SPLASH SHIELD REPLACEMENT -- ENGINE .
- Remove the steering gear heat shield bolts.
- Remove the steering gear heat shield.
