- Disable the SIR system. Refer to DISABLING SYSTEM in SIR.
- Remove the instrument panel (IP) cluster trim plate from the IP carrier. Refer to TRIM PANEL REPLACEMENT -- IP CLUSTER .
- Disconnect the hazard warning switch electrical connector if required.
- Disconnect the electrical connector from the dimmer switch (2).
- With a small flat-bladed tool release the retaining tabs (1) for the dimmer switch (2).
- From the front of the IP cluster trim plate push outward on the dimmer switch (2).
This will remove the dimmer switch (2) from the IP cluster trim plate.
