2003 Chevrolet TrailBlazer 4.2 S, 4WDSECTION Removal Procedure

  1. Disable the SIR system. Refer to DISABLING SYSTEM in SIR.
  2. Remove the instrument panel (IP) cluster trim plate from the IP carrier. Refer to TRIM PANEL REPLACEMENT -- IP CLUSTER .
  3. Disconnect the hazard warning switch electrical connector if required.
  4. Disconnect the electrical connector from the dimmer switch (2).
  5. With a small flat-bladed tool release the retaining tabs (1) for the dimmer switch (2).
  6. From the front of the IP cluster trim plate push outward on the dimmer switch (2).

This will remove the dimmer switch (2) from the IP cluster trim plate.
