- Open the hood.
- Mark the upper hood hinge location to the hood using a grease pencil.
- Remove the Assist rod from the hood. Refer to Assist Rod Replacement - Hood .
- Remove the hood hinge to hood bolts, with an assistant.
- Remove the hood from the vehicle, with an assistant.
