  1. Remove the upper fan shroud. Refer to FAN SHROUD REPLACEMENT - Upper (W/O M74)Β  or FAN SHROUD REPLACEMENT - Upper (W/M74)Β .
  2. Install theJ 46406Β  and the J 41240-5AΒ  to the fan clutch.

  4. Remove the fan hub nut from the water pump in a counterclockwise rotation.
  5. Lay the fan blade face down on a workbench.

  7. Remove the fan clutch bolts from the rear of the fan blade, if necessary.
  8. Separate the fan clutch from the fan blade.
