1 Did you perform A Diagnostic System Check-Engine Cooling? Go to Step 2  Go to DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM CHECK - Engine Cooling 
2 Start the engine.
Does the CHECK ENGINE TEMP indicator illuminate?
Go to Step 3  Go to TESTING FOR INTERMITTENT AND POOR CONNECTIONS
3 With a scan tool, command the CHECK ENGINE TEMP indicator ON and OFF.
Does the CHECK ENGINE TEMP indicator turn ON and OFF when commanded?
Go to Engine Overheating  Go to Step 4 
4 Replace the instrument cluster. Refer to INSTRUMENT PANEL CLUSTER (IPC) REPLACEMENT .
Is the replacement complete?
Go to Step 5  -
5 Operate the system in order to verify the repair.
Did you correct the condition?
System OK Go to Step 3
