The DIC displays the ENGINE HOT...A/C OFF-9 message when the dash integration module (DIM) determines that the coolant temperature is above the normal operating range and the air conditioning is on. The air conditioning compressor is disabled. The DIC receives a class 2 message from the DIM requesting illumination. The IPC sends a class 2 message to the radio in order to activate an audible warning.
