2003 Chevrolet TrailBlazer 4.2 S, 4WDSECTION Removal Procedure

  1. Refer to the following procedure to remove the windshield pillar garnish moldings:
    • Pull the door weatherstrip away from the pinchweld flange to expose the garnish molding.
    • Pull on the garnish molding to disengage the 2 clips.
    • Remove the garnish molding from the car.
  2. Starting at the left side, carefully lift upwards on the instrument panel (I/P) upper trim panel in order to release the retainers from the I/P upper trim pad. Work towards the right in order to access the daytime running lamp (DRL) ambient light sensor.
  3. Remove the DRL ambient light sensor from the I/P upper trim panel by twisting the sensor 1/4 turn counterclockwise.

  5. Remove the DRL ambient light sensor from the connector.
