2003 Chevrolet TrailBlazer 4.2 S, 4WDSECTION Installation Procedure

- Install the cooler pipe/hose to the vehicle.
- Install the cooler pipe/hose to the steering gear.
Tighten:
Tighten the fitting to 27 N.m (20 ft lbs)
- Install the wiring harness clip to the cooler pipe/hose.
- Install the cooler pipe/hose to the clips on the steering gear.
- Install the cooler pipe/hose to the retaining clip on the frame.
- Install the cooler pipe/hose retaining bolt to the frame.
Tighten:
Tighten the bolt to 10 N.m (89 in lbs)
- Install the return hose to the cooler pipe/hose. Refer to Power Steering Return Hose Replacement (3.1L) or Power Steering Return Hose Replacement (3.8L) .
- Lower the vehicle.
- Fill the power steering system. Refer to Checking and Adding Power Steering Fluid .
- Bleed the power steering system. Refer to Bleeding the Power Steering System .
- Inspect the power steering system for leaks. Refer to Power Steering Fluid Leaks .
