Installation Procedure
2003 Chevrolet TrailBlazer 4.2 S, 4WDSECTION Installation Procedure

- Install the EBCM to the BPMV.
- Install the four retainers that attach the EBCM to BPMV.
Tighten:Β
Tighten the retainers to 5 N.m (44 in lbs)Β
- Connect the EBCM harness connector.
- Push down lock tab (1) and then move sliding connector cover (2) back in the home position to lock.
- Reengage the red locking tab (1) to the connected lock tab.
- Install the air cleaner intake duct. Refer to AIR CLEANER INTAKE DUCT REPLACEMENT in appropriate ENGINE CONTROLS article.
- Reposition the module and cables. Connect the cruise control module to the left strut tower. Refer to CRUISE CONTROL MODULE REPLACEMENT in CRUISE CONTROL .
- Connect the accelerator and cruise control cable to the accelerator control cable bracket.
- Install the front fender upper diagonal brace. Refer to BRACE REPLACEMENT - FRONT FENDER UPPER DIAGONAL in BODY FRONT END .
- Install the fuel injector sight shield (3.8 L engine only). Refer to FUEL INJECTOR SIGHT SHIELD REPLACEMENT (L36) or FUEL INJECTOR SIGHT SHIELD REPLACEMENT (L67) in appropriate ENGINE MECHANICAL article.
- Turn the ignition switch to the RUN position, do not start engine.
- Perform the Diagnostic System Check - ABSΒ .
