  1. Disengage adjustment lock (3) on the cruise control cable (2) by pulling the button wings upward. The cable will move freely in and out of the adjuster body when lock is disengaged. Do not remove the lock. See Fig 1.
  2. Assure that the throttle body is in the closed position.
  3. Assure the cable adjuster moves freely in adjuster body.
  4. Press the lock firmly until fully seated.
