Removal Procedure

2003 Chevrolet TrailBlazer 4.2 S, 4WDSECTION Removal Procedure

  1. Disconnect the battery negative cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and ConnectionΒ .
  2. Remove the left side catalytic convertor. Refer to Catalytic Converter Replacement - Left Side (LZ4) or Catalytic Converter Replacement - Left Side (LY7 ) or Catalytic Converter Replacement - Left Side (LCS) .

  4. Disconnect the starter motor electrical connector.

  6. Remove the starter solenoid BAT terminal nut.
  7. Remove the battery positive cable terminal and engine harness terminal from the starter motor.

  9. Remove the starter motor bolts.
  10. Remove the starter motor from the vehicle.
