- Drain the coolant. Refer to Draining and Filling Cooling System (Static Fill) or Draining and Filling Cooling System (GE 47716 Fill) .
- Remove the surge tank inlet hose clamp from the surge tank.
- Remove the surge tank inlet hose from the surge tank.
- Remove the surge tank bolts from the vehicle.
- Lift the surge tank to gain access to the bottom of the tank.
- Disconnect the low coolant sensor from the surge tank.
- Remove the surge tank outlet hose clamp from the bottom of the surge tank.
- Remove the surge tank outlet hose from the bottom of the surge tank.
