Preliminary Procedures

  1. Drain the cooling system. Refer to Draining and Filling Cooling System (Static Fill)Β  or Draining and Filling Cooling System (GE 47716 Fill)Β .
  2. Raise and suitably support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .
  3. Remove the hose clamps from the radiator outlet hose.
  4. Remove the hose clamp from the generator control module coolant pump.
  5. Remove the hose clamp from the generator control module coolant outlet hose.
IMPORTANT: This hose is integral to the generator control module coolant hoses and must replaced as an assembly.
