2003 Chevrolet TrailBlazer 4.2 S, 4WDSECTION Installation Procedure

  1. Install the control lever assembly to the control lever assembly bracket.
  2. NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice .
  3. Install the control lever nuts.

    Tighten:Β  Tighten the nuts to 25 N.m (18 lb ft).

  5. Connect the shift cables to the control lever assembly.
  6. With the shift cable ends in the adjusters, adjust the cables by pushing the shifter neutral lock clip. Move the shifter slightly to center the lock clip.
  7. IMPORTANT: Ensure the transaxle is in NEUTRAL.
  8. Press and lock the shift cable retainers.
  9. Pull the shifter neutral lock clip to the original position.

  11. Connect the electrical connectors.
  12. Connect the shift cables to the control lever assembly.
  13. Install the trim bezel.
  14. Install the control assembly boot to the trim bezel.
