  1. Using the J 36346Β  or equivalent, disconnect the shift cable ends from the transaxle by prying on both sides with even pressure.
  2. Disconnect the shift cables from the shift cable bracket. Discard the shift cable retaining clips.
  3. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .
  4. Remove the wheel.
  5. Remove the left inner splash shield.

  7. Shift the transmission into NEUTRAL.
  8. Remove the shifter guide bolt.

  10. Remove the shifter retaining bolts.
  11. Remove the shifter.
