Preliminary Procedures

  1. Remove the wiper arms. Refer to Wiper Arm ReplacementΒ .
  2. Remove the air inlet grille panels. Refer to Air Inlet Grille Panel ReplacementΒ .
1 Windshield Wiper Module Bolt
NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice .

Tip:Β  Tighten bolts in sequence as shown upon installation.

Tighten:Β  9 N.m (80 lb in)

2 Windshield Wiper Motor Electrical Connector
Tip:Β  Connect the electrical connector to the wiper motor and the harness rose bud to the wiper module frame prior to installing the module assembly back into the plenum.
3 Windshield Washer System Module Assembly
  1. Raise the rearward edge of the windshield washer module assembly out of the plenum panel.
  2. Upon installation of the windshield washer module, turn the module 180 degrees, insert the transmission arms into the plenum then align the grommets on the module to the bolt holes.
  3. Tighten the bolts in sequence as shown.
