    CAUTION: When a hood hold open device is being removed or installed, provide alternate support to avoid the possibility of damage to the vehicle or personal injury.
  1. Open and support the hood.
  2. Mark the hood latch location to the support bracket with a grease pencil.
  3. Fig 1: Hood Latch Bolts

  4. Remove the hood latch bolts.
  5. Disconnect the release cable from the hood latch.
