  1. Open the lift gate.
  2. Remove the lift gate trim panel. Refer to Trim Panel Replacement - LiftgateΒ  .
  3. Remove the lock cylinder. Refer to Lock Cylinder Replacement - LiftgateΒ  .
  4. Disconnect the outside handle swing over clip from the outside handle rod.
  5. Remove the lift gate outside handle bolts.
  6. Remove the lift gate handle from the lift gate.
