Safety Warning
DIY auto repair can cause serious injury, fire, or vehicle damage. These guides are for informational purposes only. Always follow OEM torque specs, wear PPE, and consult a certified mechanic if you are unsure. You are solely responsible for your safety.
Instrument Panel Lights/Gauges
There are several lights/gauges in the I/P cluster that can be controlled by the BCM. The BCM will send a class 2 message to the I/P cluster when certain DTCs set in the BCM. Refer to the specific BCM code in order to determine if an indicator was turned ON by the BCM. For a description on all I/P cluster lights/gauges, refer to the Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC) Description and Operation and Indicator/Warning Message Description and Operation in Instrument Panel, Gages, and Console.
