Removal Procedure

- Disconnect the negative battery cable.
- Drain the coolant. Refer to Draining and Filling Cooling System .
- Remove the battery box/UHFB assembly. Refer to Battery Box Replacement .
- Remove the coolant hose clamps and hoses from the coolant intake housing.
- Remove the lower radiator hose assembly from the coolant housing.
- Remove the coolant intake housing bolts.
- Remove the intake coolant housing and O-ring seal from the engine.
- Remove debris from the block mating surfaces.
