2003 Chevrolet TrailBlazer 4.2 S, 4WDSECTION Installation Procedure

  1. Connect the hood latch cable to the latch.

  2. Position the latch to the previously marked location on the mounting bracket.
    NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE in Cautions and Notices.
  3. Install the bolts which retain the latch to the mounting bracket.

    Tighten:Β  Tighten the bolts to 10 N.m (89 lb in).

  4. Inspect the latch for proper operation before closing the hood.
  5. Check the alignment of the latch to the hood striker. Adjust the latch, if necessary. Refer to Hood Latch AdjustmentΒ  .
  6. Install the grille. Refer to GRILLE REPLACEMENT (GMC) or GRILLE REPLACEMENT (CHEVROLET) or GRILLE REPLACEMENT (OLDSMOBILE) in Exterior Trim.
