2003 Chevrolet TrailBlazer 4.2 S, 4WDSECTION Installation Procedure

  1. Route the hose in the same position the hose occupied prior to removal.
  2. Install the power steering gear outlet hose (3) to the power steering pump (1).

    Position the clamp at the end of the hose.

    NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE .
  3. Install the power steering gear outlet hose to the power steering gear.

    TightenΒ 

    Tighten the outlet hose fitting to 28 N.m (20 lb ft).

  4. Remove the drain pan from under the vehicle.
  5. Bleed the power steering system. Refer to Bleeding the Power Steering SystemΒ .
