  1. Position the wiper transmission assembly to the cowl panel plenum.
  2. Connect the electrical connector to the wiper motor.
  3. Insert the wiper motor post into the slot in the plenum, push the transmission assembly forward to seat the post.
  4. NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
  5. Install the bolts retaining the wiper transmission assembly to the vehicle.

    Tighten:Β  Tighten the wiper transmission assembly bolts to 8 N.m (71 lb in).

  6. Install the air inlet grille panel. Refer to Air Inlet Grille Panel Replacement (Envoy, TrailBlazer) or Air Inlet Grille Panel Replacement (Rainier) in Body Front End.
  7. Install the windshield wiper arms. Refer to Wiper Arm ReplacementΒ .
