2003 Chevrolet TrailBlazer 4.2 S, 4WDSECTION Installation Procedure

  1. Position the hood to the vehicle with an assistant.
  2. Partially install the 4 bolts that retain the hood to the hinges (3).
  3. NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
  4. Position the hood to the hinges at the previously marked locations with an assistant.

    Tighten:Β  Tighten the hood retaining bolts to 25 N.m (18 lb ft).

  6. Install the hood insulation to the hood.
  7. Install the push-pin retainers (2).
  8. Install the front hood molding. Refer to Molding Replacement - Hood Front (Rainier) or Molding Replacement - Hood Front (Envoy, Envoy XUV, Bravada) in Exterior Trim.
