Installation Procedure
2003 Chevrolet TrailBlazer 4.2 S, 4WDSECTION Installation Procedure

- Install the regulator filter.
- Install the new O-ring on the fuel pressure regulator.
- Lubricate the fuel pressure regulator O-ring with clean engine oil.
- Push the fuel pressure regulator into the regulator housing on the fuel rail.
- Install the fuel pressure regulator retainer.
Tighten:Β Tighten the regulator retainer screw to 8 N.m (71 lb in).
- Install the fuel return pipe retainer.
Tighten:Β Tighten the return pipe retainer screw to 8 N.m (71 lb in).
- Connect the fuel return pipe. Refer to Quick Connect Fitting(s) Service (Metal Collar)Β .
- Connect the fuel pressure regulator vacuum line.
- Connect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnect/Connect Procedure in Engine Electrical.
- Inspect for leaks.
- Turn ON the ignition for 2 seconds.
- Turn OFF the ignition for 10 seconds.
- Turn ON the ignition.
- Inspect for fuel leaks.
- Install the engine wiring harness into the retaining clips at the front of the engine.
- Install the air intake resonator. Refer to Air Cleaner Outlet Resonator ReplacementΒ .
