  1. Inspect the caliper bracket (14) and the caliper slide boots (15,20) for damage, wear, or corrosion. Replace the components if damage, wear or corrosion is evident. Refer to Brake Caliper Bracket Replacement - FrontΒ .
  2. Inspect the piston (8) and the caliper housing (10) for damage, wear or corrosion. Replace the components if damage, wear or corrosion is evident.
  3. Inspect the caliper bore for cracks, scoring, pitting, or corrosion. Replace the caliper assembly if the bore is damaged.
