2003 Chevrolet TrailBlazer 4.2 S, 4WDSECTION Installation Procedure

  1. Install the AIR shut-off valve (3) and gasket (4) to the bracket and pipe assembly (5).
  2. NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
  3. Secure the 3 parts with the 2 bolts.

    Tighten:Β  Tighten the 2 fasteners to 8 N.m (71 lb in).

  5. Install the AIR shut-off valve and bracket to the engine.
  6. Secure the AIR shut-off valve (3) with the 2 bolts (1).

    Tighten:Β  Tighten the 2 fasteners to 21 N.m (16 lb ft).

  7. Connect the air inlet hose (2) to the AIR shut-off valve (3).
  8. Connect the air outlet hose (4) to the AIR shut-off valve.
  9. Install the AIR pressure sensor. Refer to Secondary AIR Injection Pressure Sensor ReplacementΒ .
