2003 Chevrolet TrailBlazer 4.2 S, 4WDSECTION Removal Procedure

  1. Raise and suitably support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle in General Information.
  2. Fig 1: Stone Shield, Four Retainers And Two Bolts

  3. Remove the two bolts (3) that secure the stone shield (1).
  4. Remove the four retainers (2) and the stone shield (1).

  6. Disconnect the CKP sensor electrical connector.
  7. Remove the one hold down bolt (2).
  8. Remove the CKP sensor (1) from the front cover of the engine block.
