Installation Procedure
- Install the 3 left transaxle bracket and bolts.
Tighten: Tighten the transaxle bracket bolts to 80 N.m (59 lb ft).
- Install the left transaxle mount and the 4 bolts.
Tighten: Tighten the left transaxle mount bolts to 52 N.m (38 lb ft).
- Install the transaxle mount through bolt.
Tighten: Tighten the transaxle mount through bolt to 80 N.m (59 lb ft).
- Remove the engine support fixture.
- Install the air cleaner box.
- Install the 3 air cleaner box bolts.
- Install the air filter.
- Install the air cleaner hose and cap assembly.
- Install the IAT sensor.
- Connect the IAT connector.
- Install the battery tray and battery. Refer to Battery Replacement in Engine Electrical.
- Install the hold down bracket.
- Install the hold down bracket bolt and nut.
Tighten: Tighten the hold down bracket bolt and nut to 12 N.m (106 lb in).
- Install the positive and negative battery cables.

When to See a Mechanic
Stop DIY work and contact a certified mechanic immediately if any of the following apply:
- • You smell fuel, burning insulation, or see smoke.
- • Brakes feel soft, pull hard to one side, or make grinding noises.
- • The engine overheats, stalls repeatedly, or misfires under load.
- • You are missing required tools, torque specs, or safe lifting equipment.
- • You are not confident in the next step or safety outcome.
