2003 Chevrolet TrailBlazer 4.2 S, 4WDSECTION Installation Procedure

    NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
  1. Install the front transaxle bracket and bolts.

    Tighten:Β  Tighten the transaxle bracket bolts to 64 N.m (47 lb ft).

  2. Install the insulator to the mount bracket.
  3. Install the front transaxle mount through bolt.

    Tighten:Β  Tighten the transaxle mount through bolt to 52 N.m (38 lb ft).

  4. Install the 2 bolts to the front transaxle mount.

    Tighten:Β  Tighten the front transaxle mount bolts to 39 N.m (29 lb ft).

  5. Install the left hand splash shield. Refer to Splash Shield Replacement - Engine - Left in Body Front End.
  6. Install the right hand splash shield. Refer to Splash Shield Replacement - Engine - Right in Body Front End.
  7. Lower the vehicle.
  8. Remove the engine support fixture.
